Through the years, I had written several songs in more of a “jazz” tradition, loosely defined. I felt these songs deserved to be recorded for posterity. I again engaged the production talents of the great Joe Pisapia, who assembled a wonderful crew of musicians including Joe’s brother Marc on drums, Brad Jones on stand up bass, and Tony Crow on piano. Joe played guitar. On a personal basis, this is my favorite album and I think these songs are among the best I’ve written.
